Best Day Ever MTB Puts the VELDURO Rogue Through Its Paces
Lance from Best Day Ever MTB knows his stuff, so when he says he's "like a child at a birthday party that's just had way too much sugar," you know something special is happening. We handed him the keys to our pre-production Rogue prototype, and his reaction was exactly what we had hoped for. This wasn't some polished media event either – Lance got genuine first access to a bike that's still in development, complete with 3D printed parts and prototype components. His enthusiasm was real because the experience was real. From the moment he discovered the walk mode that lets you cruise without pedalling to hitting 57km/h on the flat, Lance was properly impressed with what the DJI Avinox system brings to the table.
The hill climb test really told the story, though. Lance took the Velduro Rogue up against a Bosch Gen 3 system on the same brutal climb, and the numbers don't lie – Bosch managed 129 seconds while the Rogue smashed it in 105 seconds. That's a 24-second advantage without even touching the boost mode. "This thing will certainly belt up the hill," Lance said, and you can hear the genuine surprise in his voice. After throwing the bike off jumps, through technical sections, and basically giving it the full Kiwi trail treatment, his verdict was spot on: "It's an enduro beast, an awesome handling bike with what I believe may be the game changer motor."
