Velduro hits Spain for the Sea Otter Europe 2025 Bike Show
Dan and the team flew to Girona to support Velduro's Spanish distributor, Vola Bikes, at Sea Otter Europe 2025 - one of the continent's biggest cycling festivals.
The buzz around Velduro isn't limited to the southern hemisphere anymore. Spanish riders were lining up to see the Velduro Rogue Enduro and its frame only option in person, and the level of excitement was unreal.
"Velduro was started by two Kiwis and Dick from China in 2024," Dan explained to EMBN at the show. "We try to do everything really fast and nimble. Anything riders want, we can change because we can, because we're small."
That nimbleness is exactly what sets Velduro apart. Sea Otter Europe brought together riders from across the continent, and watching them react to our bikes was a humbling reminder that the movement is now truly global. From Slovakia to Australia to New Zealand, and now Spain, the DJI Avinox powered revolution is spreading fas
The Rogue Draws a Crowd
While supporting the crew at Vola Bikes, our team was constantly surrounded by riders eager to test the Rogue and even pre order their own.
"I was blown away by how well known the Velduro brand was in Spain and how excited the Catalonian riders were to get their hands on a Velduro," Dan said.
The reaction to the bike's aggressive enduro setup, i-track suspension system, and DJI Avinox power was exactly what we hoped for when we set out to build something different.
Dan highlighted the frame only option as a game changer for riders. "We also do the frame only option which means that you can customise and do whatever you want, which is really cool for people that are on Amish or analog bikes and they want to move to DJI. Very cool for early adopters and to create the dream builds."
Juan from Vola Bike put the Rogue through its paces on Spanish trails and his verdict says it all. He called it "una alfombra voladora" - a flying carpet - describing how the bike just devours rough terrain with incredible stability. Even on a frame size too small for him, he could feel what the Rogue was built to do: descend without compromise.
Part of this global growth is thanks to media companies like EMBN putting a spotlight on the brand. Cheers Steve, we appreciate you mate.
Gravel Goes Wild in Europe
One of the biggest eye openers from Sea Otter 2025 was the explosive growth of gravel bikes across Europe. What's still an emerging trend in New Zealand has absolutely taken off overseas.
Riders were running 2.1 inch mountain bike tyres, wide drop bars, and even mullet setups, blending speed, comfort, and creativity in ways we hadn't seen before. The versatility and freedom of gravel riding fits perfectly with what Velduro stands for.
And in the middle of it all, the Velduro Phantom made waves as the only DJI Avinox powered gravel bike available worldwide. With its sleek carbon monocoque design and game changing performance, the Phantom proved that innovation doesn't just belong on the mountain. It's redefining gravel too.
What's Next
Sea Otter Europe 2025 was an incredible reminder of how far the Velduro brand has come. From our New Zealand roots to riders across the world pushing the limits on our bikes, the journey has been wild.
New Zealand still has all our Rogues eMTB's arriving in November pre sold, and watching European riders get equally stoked about what we're building reinforces why we started this brand in the first place. To change the way bikes are developed, to listen to what riders actually want, and to do it fast and nimble.
We're beyond stoked to see what's next as the Rogue and Phantom continue to inspire riders everywhere.
