Stuck between sizes?
The ranges overlap at about 172cm, 180 to 182cm and 185 to 188cm. If you like a bike that feels stable and planted at speed, size up. If you prefer something flickable that is easy to throw around, size down. Neither is the wrong call. It comes down to how you ride.
Which size Vandal R should I choose?
The Vandal R comes in S, M, L and XL. S suits riders from 160 to 172cm, M from 172 to 182cm, L from 180 to 188cm and XL from 185 to 195cm. If you sit between two sizes, size up for a bike that feels stable and planted at speed, or size down for one that is easier to flick around. The Sizing and Geometry tabs have the full numbers.
How much does the Vandal R weigh?
The Vandal R weighs 20.8kg as a full build, which makes it the lightest full power bike in the Velduro range.
What motor and battery does the Vandal R have?
The Vandal R uses the Avinox M2S motor, rated at 250W and 130Nm, with 150Nm of boost torque and 1,500W of peak power. The battery is an integrated Avinox 36V 700Wh pack, charged with a 12A 508W Avinox charger. You also get a 2-inch Avinox OLED display and wireless left and right controllers. If you want a larger battery, the Vandal X comes with an 800Wh pack.
How much suspension travel does it have?
The Fox 36 fork has 160mm of travel. The rear has 145mm of travel, up to 152mm, controlled by a Fox Float X shock with a custom factory tune.
What is i-track suspension and how does it work?
i-track is a patented suspension platform. The Vandal uses it in a mid-pivot layout with a 16T idler and oversized bearings. The idler manages the chain so pedalling forces and suspension movement stay separate, which helps the bike keep its grip, respond to small bumps and put power down efficiently. The inventor explains how it works in our i-track suspension article.
What wheels and tyres does it come with?
The Vandal R rolls on Wingman Prodigy Trail carbon wheels with Ethirteen Sidekick V2.0 hubs and Pillar spokes, with a 29in wheel at the front and a 27.5in wheel at the rear. The tyres are a Maxxis Assegai 29 x 2.5 at the front and a Maxxis Minion DHR II 27.5 x 2.4 at the rear. The larger front wheel rolls over rough ground, and the smaller rear wheel keeps the back end agile.
Are the wheels tubeless ready?
Yes. The wheels are tubeless ready, and the bike is supplied with tubes.
What is the load capacity of the Vandal R?
The Vandal R has a load capacity of 120kg and meets the EN15194 and UL2849 standards.
What warranty does the Vandal R have?
The frame and the wheels are covered for 5 years. The Avinox drive system is covered for 2 years, and all other components for 1 year.

The Vandal X has the larger 800Wh battery and Velduro e-Enduro alloy wheels, and weighs 21.4kg. If you would rather choose your own parts, the Vandal Frame Only kit comes with the Avinox M2S motor and a 700Wh battery.
